In the unsettling Norwegian thriller ‘Angst,’ a young couple entrusts their five-year-old daughter to a seemingly ordinary babysitter for a quiet night in. But as the clock ticks past midnight, the telephone begins to ring with eerie, cryptic messages that turn the cozy home into a nightmarish labyrinth of paranoia. The babysitter’s composure cracks, revealing a sinister game where every shadow hides a threat and every word is a trap. With the child’s safety hanging in the balance, a desperate hunt unfolds through the silent, moonlit streets, where the line between protector and predator blurs. Directed by Oddvar Bull Tuhus, this slow-burning psychological thriller preys on primal fears of trust and innocence, building an atmosphere of suffocating dread that lingers long after the final frame.
