Tricia’s husband has been missing for seven years, and just as she’s ready to declare him dead and move on, a strange, unsettling presence begins to emerge from the tunnel near her home. When her sister Jessie arrives to help pack up the house, she starts experiencing terrifying visions and realizes the tunnel is not just a local legend—it’s a doorway to something ancient and malevolent. As the sisters dig deeper, they uncover a pattern of disappearances that spans decades, and the line between reality and nightmare blurs. Absentia is a slow-burning, dread-filled descent into cosmic horror, where the most terrifying monsters are the ones we can’t see, and the past refuses to stay buried.
