Throughout my life, I have encountered moments that felt otherworldly. My first experience happened when I was just a child, around five years old. I was in the kitchen, reaching for a snack, when I noticed a strange flickering light near the window. Confused, I called out for my father, who rushed in to see what I was talking about. To our surprise, the light shimmered and then vanished without a trace, leaving us both bewildered. We searched the yard and the house but found nothing to explain the phenomenon. Even today, I believe it was something beyond our understanding, and my father agrees.

Years passed, and when I was seventeen, I visited my aunt’s old ranch. The house was built decades earlier by my great-uncle, who had lived there until his last days. He had fallen ill and spent his final moments in the very room where I slept during my stay. One evening, I was resting on the bed, chatting with a friend on my phone, when I heard the sound of footsteps just outside the door. I initially thought it was my cousin playing a prank, but as I turned to look, I noticed the door remained shut. The footsteps continued, fading away into silence. Uneasy, I decided to investigate, only to find the hallway empty. That night, I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone, or something, was watching over the house, lingering in the shadows of its history.
