When I was around eight years old, I had several eerie encounters at my elementary school. These experiences sparked my interest in the paranormal. I’ve since moved away, but I still remember the events vividly and kept a notebook of what happened. Here are some of the stories from that time.
Footsteps in the Bathroom
One day, I went to the bathroom, choosing the creepiest one in the school because it was where most of the strange events occurred. While in a stall, I heard footsteps. At first, I thought someone else had entered, but I realized I hadn’t heard the door open or any noise from the hall. When I came out, the door was standing open, which was odd since it usually closed on its own. Thinking someone might be holding it from the other side, I called out, but no one answered, and the door shut on its own. I quickly opened it, but there was no one there. It was impossible for someone to hide that fast. I still don’t know what I experienced, but it was definitely unusual.
Laughing in the Gym
Another time, I stayed after school for a play rehearsal. It was around five in the evening, and it was getting dark. My friend and I were practicing our lines when we heard a child’s laughter, like a little girl’s. We looked around, and so did everyone else, but no one could explain it. Then, we noticed the stage curtains moving oddly. A group of students went to check it out, and I joined them. As we approached the stage, the laughter started again, and I almost saw the outline of a little girl. We were all quite confused by what we had witnessed.
A Woman’s Scream
On another occasion, I was alone, taking a note from my teacher to the office. There’s a basement right across from the office, and as I was walking, I heard a dreadful scream from the basement, like a woman in distress. That night, when I went to bed, I heard the same scream outside my window, which was very unsettling.
