Last winter, I drifted into a strange state between waking and sleeping. The room was quiet, but I felt a sudden weight on my chest, a heavy darkness that made it hard to breathe. I was aware it was a dream, yet the fear was completely real.

At the same time, a brilliant, calming light appeared near my window. From within that light, a single, clear word cut through the silence: ‘SERAPH… I AM SERAPH.’ The sound was like a bell, sharp and pure. It broke the grip of the shadow upon me.

I woke with a start, my heart pounding. Later, thinking it over, I felt that SERAPH was not a threat, but a protector. It was a guide that used its voice to pull me from a deep fear, a reminder that I was not alone in the dark.
