This started earlier tonight and has happened three times since. It is quiet now, but I do not think it is over. I was at my desk finishing a project for my class. I had shut down my tablet completely because my cousin would not stop messaging me. I made sure it was powered down, I am absolutely certain.

I had my lamp on and my work on the screen. I was reading when my tablet lit up with a message. I opened it and my cousin had written to me. We chatted for a bit. After I closed the app, I remembered the tablet was supposed to be off. I picked it up, and the screen was black. It was still powered down.

I used my computer to message my cousin and asked if she had just written to me. She said yes, and that she had sent it to my tablet. I felt a cold dread, but I just said I had to go. A little while later, the lamp on my desk went out. I checked the bulb, but it was fine. I checked the power cord, which was plugged in. The switch was still in the on position.
