During my university years, I had to stay with my great-aunt in a bustling city. Due to limited space, I was given a small room on the rooftop. The lights were turned off after midnight, leaving me in darkness. Struggling to find sleep, I ventured out of my cramped space to relax on the rooftop.

As I looked around, I noticed a pair of figures near the edge, seemingly deep in conversation. Curious, I approached them, thinking they were just two friends enjoying the night. However, as I got closer, they suddenly dissolved into thin air, sending a chill down my spine.

I turned to retreat back to my room, but to my horror, the same figures had reappeared in front of my door. Panic surged through me, and I averted my eyes, sprinting back to my shelter. I locked the door tightly and buried myself under the covers, trying to forget what I had witnessed. The thought of those mysterious figures haunted me, and I couldn’t bring myself to leave the room until dawn broke. Later, the building caretaker revealed that many had encountered the same strange couple before and advised me to keep my distance if I ever saw them again.
