Last summer, I went with my dad to his workplace. He was a guard at the old city prison, working the night shift. I had to stay with him that evening.
I have always been curious, so I decided to look around. I walked down quiet halls and peeked into empty rooms. It was an interesting place.
At one in the morning, I was staring through a small window in a door that led to the prison’s old bakery. Inside, a wooden rolling pin on a table began to move all by itself. Then, the shape of a woman began to form in the air. I could see she was tall and had her hair tied back.
This figure rolled the pin across the table, then she turned and looked right at me. A moment later, she vanished. I kept watching, waiting to see if she would return, but she was gone.
