When I was a child, from the ages of 3 to 7, my family lived in an old house in a small town in Ohio. It was the early 1980s, and the house had a history that no one liked to talk about. From a very young age, I remember seeing dark, hooded figures. They only appeared at night when I was in bed. I would hear a whispering sound that grew louder as the figures approached my room.

These figures wore long, dark robes with hoods, standing about six feet tall. Their faces were hidden, except for their eyes, which were small and eerily bright. They didn’t look like human eyes. Whenever I saw them, I was paralyzed with fear, unable to move or speak. Two of them would visit me, sometimes appearing by my bedroom door or right beside my bed with their arms outstretched.

This went on for four years. Even though it happened so long ago, I can still vividly recall their appearance and the chilling sounds that preceded their arrival. In 1984, my family moved to a new house, and I never saw the dark figures again.
