A long time ago, when I was in middle school, I had a teacher who loved strange and mysterious things. One day, he told us about spirits and how some people could communicate with them. He even showed us a trick where he could write in languages he never learned!

One afternoon, he asked a few of us to stay after class for a special experiment. We were going to try something called table tapping. He brought out a small table and had us sit around it. At first, the table moved just a little, tilting up and down as if answering questions. It was exciting, but none of us knew what to ask!

Then, the teacher stepped away to prove he wasn’t making it move. That’s when things got strange. The table didn’t stop—it started moving on its own, stronger than before! Suddenly, it slid toward me. I stepped back, but it kept coming. I walked faster, and it chased me across the room!

The teacher thought I was somehow controlling it, but I wasn’t. I was scared! The table didn’t stop until the teacher finally ended the experiment.

After that day, I never tried table tapping again. And I never trusted a table with a mind of its own!
