This happened at a campsite near an old abandoned mill.
At the time, I was married, and we went on a short trip with my two stepsons. One of them was a tough guy, a football player. We planned to stay in a tent, but my wife didn’t like it, so we rented a small wooden cabin instead. The cabin stood on tall wooden posts, and the ground underneath was just dry dirt—no grass, no plants.
That evening, it started to rain lightly, and the dirt turned to wet mud. Any footprints would have been easy to see.
We took off our shoes before entering the cabin to avoid tracking in the mud. We were sitting around, talking. I sat on the bed, leaning against the wall. Suddenly—BAM! Something slammed into the outside wall above my head, like a hammer hitting full force. The whole cabin shook.
Now, this cabin was high off the ground—at least eight feet up. The bed was also raised, and I’m a tall guy, so whatever hit that wall had to be at least thirteen feet in the air. There was no way a normal person could have done that.
My stepson and I threw on our shoes and ran outside within seconds. We searched all around, under the cabin, and in the muddy ground. Nothing. No footprints, no sign of anyone. Just silence.
Later that night, we heard movement outside. My wife and I grabbed our camera and stepped onto the porch. The trees stood about fifty feet away, and something was rustling in the darkness. We snapped pictures at random.
When we checked the photos, most looked normal, but a few had glowing orbs—one had five or six, another had over thirty floating in the air. But the strangest picture showed something different. A streak of light, long and twisting between the trees, half pink, half purple. It wasn’t visible when we took the photo. Only in the picture.
When we got home, we zoomed in on one of the orbs. It had soft, colorful edges, and inside—faint, but there—it looked like a face. Not clear enough to tell who or what it was.
We told the owner about what happened. He barely reacted. No surprise, no questions. Like he already knew.
Through the years, things changed, and I lost those pictures. But I never forgot that night.
