From the moment he could remember, Leo had a special kind of sight. It wasn’t something he could explain, and for a long time, he was too young and scared to even try. The things he saw were a mix of the wonderful and the terrifying, and he felt completely alone with his secret.

Now a man, he has learned a simple rule: if he doesn’t look directly at the strange things, they often don’t look back. This rule makes life easier, though it fails in quiet places like libraries or empty parks. For Leo, the world is not flat but deep, filled with layers most people walk right through.

His daily life is never ordinary. He wakes up and sees folks from other times, their words a soft murmur in the air. Sometimes they are just a feeling, a cold spot or a faint sound. He has also felt presences that are not friendly, dark shapes that linger at the edge of his vision. They hide their true forms, but he can sense their anger. Leo lives a good and honest life, and he believes that is his real protection.
