In the small town of Eldermoor, whispers of unusual events in the nearby woods have circulated for generations. These woods, rich in history, were once home to ancient tribes long before the town’s founding. On a chilly autumn night in October 2020, I had my first encounter with the unexplained.

I was out with friends, exploring the dense trees that loomed over us like silent giants. We had been walking for nearly an hour when one of my companions shared tales of eerie happenings from years past. Suddenly, a loud splash echoed from the nearby stream, startling us. It sounded as if something enormous had leaped from the water, yet the surface was calm moments before.

While we stood there, trying to make sense of the noise, my friend Caleb, who was walking just ahead of us, stumbled and fell to the ground, clutching his side. He swore he felt an invisible force strike him, knocking the breath out of him. We rushed to his side, but there were no signs of any creature in the surrounding area. The path was clear, and he had been in front of us, with no one close enough to cause such a sudden impact.

As we debated what could have happened, a chill swept through the air, and an unsettling feeling settled over us. We decided to head back, the thrill of the unknown mingling with a sense of unease. The forest, once a place of adventure, now felt like a realm of hidden secrets, holding onto its mysteries tightly, waiting for the next curious souls to uncover them.
