Last month, my son celebrated his fourth birthday. Since then, I’ve noticed something unusual. At night, after I tuck him into bed, he begins to chat animatedly. It seems like he is conversing with someone. During the day, while he plays with his toys, he often spins in circles, arms raised, laughing as if he’s sharing a secret joke.
What unsettles me is the day my family was gathered in the living room, enjoying a movie. Suddenly, my son dashed into the hallway. I quickly followed, worried he might get into trouble. He halted abruptly, eyes wide, and let out a frightened shout before racing back to me. I knelt down to ask what had startled him, but instead of words, he simply made a funny face, his brow furrowed.
My partner and I have begun to wonder if there is something more to his playful behavior. We can’t shake the feeling that our house holds a mystery. I try to reassure myself that this is just a phase, but I can’t help but worry about the influence it might have on our little girl.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? I’m curious to know if it’s just a phase that will pass or if there’s something deeper at play.
