When I was about five years old, something strange happened that my family still talks about to this day. My mom was walking out of the kitchen to come get me. I was waiting for her, feeling like she was taking forever. Suddenly, she froze in the hallway, her face pale and her mouth wide open. She looked at me with a mix of shock and fear.
I asked her what was wrong, and she replied, “I just saw a little boy, all blue, with a blue ball, laughing and playing in our hallway. He looked right at me and then ran through the cabinets as if he was scared.”
That was the first and last time she ever saw him. But every time we walked through that hallway, we felt a chill down our spines, as if something was there with us. Often, I felt like I was being watched. We never found out if anyone had died or been buried under our home, but we always wondered if the house was built on top of an old burial site.
To this day, we still wonder if that little blue boy chases his blue ball down the hallway when we’re not around. The memory of that eerie encounter has stayed with us, a reminder that some mysteries remain unsolved.
