When I was a child, my brother Ethan died unexpectedly in a car accident. Since that tragic day, odd occurrences have plagued our family home. One evening, during a small gathering, relatives were reminiscing about Ethan’s childhood adventures. Suddenly, a picture frame hanging on the wall fell to the floor without warning. Laughter erupted, breaking the tension in the room.

Another time, my cousin Jenna and her friend were relaxing in the living room while I went to grab some snacks. As I stepped into the kitchen, I heard soft giggles echoing from the hallway. Curious, I walked toward the sound, thinking it was Jenna and her friend playing a prank. When I reached the hallway, I found it empty, yet the laughter continued. I searched every room, but there was no one around, and the house felt eerily quiet again.

Each time I returned to that house, I felt a mix of comfort and unease. It was as if Ethan’s spirit lingered there, participating in our gatherings. I began to wonder if these strange happenings were his way of reminding us not to forget him. The memories of his laughter and spirit kept us connected, even when he was no longer physically present.
