One quiet evening, Mira decided to entertain herself by calling her home phone from her mobile. It was just a silly idea to hear her own voice echoing back at her. But when she picked up the house phone, a loud and eerie laughter erupted from the speaker, sending chills down her spine. Confused and frightened, she quickly dialed her best friend, seeking comfort and reassurance, while she hurried out of the room.

Mira lived in an old house that had been in her family for generations. Originally built as a gathering place for travelers, many people had come and gone through its doors, leaving behind memories that lingered in the walls. This was not the first time Mira felt a presence in her home; she often heard the soft sounds of footsteps and the faint creaking of floorboards late at night, even when she was alone.
