On a balmy evening, my friend Mia and I decided it was the perfect time for a movie marathon in my cozy den. We headed over to her place to borrow her DVD player since mine had broken down. Living in the lower level of my home, we figured it would be easiest to enter through the side door.

Once we opened the door, we made our way across the small hallway to my den. To give you an idea of the layout, as you step inside, the stairs leading up to the main floor are right to your left. Just a few steps away are the laundry machines, and if you turn right, you’ll find the bathroom. My den is located directly across from that bathroom, tucked away in the back.

The floor in my den was a mix of wooden boards and smooth tiles. The tiled area, where my room was situated, stood slightly elevated, creating a small step up from the wooden section. In my den, my bed was snugly positioned in the corner, with a small bookshelf right next to it, filled with my favorite novels and DVDs. We settled in for the night, excited to dive into our favorite films.
