Under the moonlit shadows of a condemned river creek, quiet teenager Reece and his friends pay the price for one reckless night of partying. As the first throbbing headaches and hollow heartaches set in, an insidious, flesh-eating virus begins to creep through their ranks, dissolving the line between friendship and fear. With the nearest signs of civilization miles away, every cough, every glance, becomes a deadly gamble. The woods close in, the air thickens, and a grotesque transformation threatens to leave them stranded in a nightmare from which there is no escape.
