In the claustrophobic confines of a decaying tenement, a slick con artist’s latest grift spirals into a waking nightmare. Trapped by a family whose hospitality hides a ravenous hunger, he discovers their grisly secret: a shimmering, otherworldly crystal that weeps a toxic, emerald slime. As the patriarch and his kin gorge on the hallucinogenic fungal goo, reality starts to fray, and the line between predator and prey dissolves. With every drip of that noxious substance, the walls seem to breathe, and sanity becomes a luxury none can afford. We Await is a descent into sticky, psychic terror where the only escape might be to lose your mind—or your life.
