A fading internet personality, desperate to reclaim his glory days, hatches a sinister plan: a live-streamed fake serial killer hunt at a remote Texas property, with a quiet, inscrutable caretaker recruited to play the killer. As the cameras roll, the line between performance and reality blurs, and the staged scares give way to genuine terror. The Hunter’s audience watches, but no one knows the real horror unfolding when the mask slips and the hunt becomes all too real.
