When Loretta learns of a forbidden stretch of Sierra Nevada wilderness that has remained sealed since the 1950s, her curiosity becomes an obsession. Drawn to the place where hikers vanished without a trace, she slips past the barriers, lured by the promise of secrets buried in the pines. As daylight fades, the silence grows thick with unseen watchers, and every rustle carries a warning. Worried and desperate, her husband Randy follows her trail into an abandoned mountain realm where the past refuses to stay buried—and where the land itself seems to hunger. Together they must confront the creeping dread that waits between the trees, discovering that some territories are best left untouched.
