Polly Marie Davis emerged from a nightmare, but the scars run deeper than the visible wounds. For 186 agonizing days, she endured the unspeakable cruelty of a madman who left her body battered and her spirit teetering on the brink. Yet, beneath the fear and trauma, a fierce will to survive flickered, refusing to be extinguished. Now, as she tries to piece together a shattered life, the shadows of her captivity cling to her like a second skin. Every creak, every whisper, every stranger’s glance threatens to drag her back into the darkness. The question is not whether she escaped, but whether she truly ever left—and what horrors may still be waiting in the quiet corners of recovery.
