When college student Sakura finds herself alienated from her classmates, her childhood friends Satoshi and Nozomi offer an escape: a summer job at a remote island resort. But what begins as a serene getaway quickly turns into a waking nightmare as the inn’s idyllic facade crumbles, revealing a sinister presence that feeds on their deepest fears. Directed by Jirô Nagae, this atmospheric horror weaves a slow-burning dread through the island’s isolation, where every whisper and shadow hints at a malevolent force closing in. As the friends are drawn into a web of ancient secrets, they realize that some vacations are not meant to be survived.

“The atmosphere is incredibly creepy, building up that feeling of being trapped on an island with something wrong. Rikka Ihara gives a solid performance as the troubled Sakura, and the slow-burn tension really worked for me. A few jump scares felt cheap, but the overall dread was effective.”
