In 1865, as the Civil War rages, a desperate escape in a hot-air balloon goes horribly wrong, plunging a group of Union soldiers and their Confederate captive onto an uncharted island shrouded in perpetual mist. Here, the laws of nature twist into nightmarish forms: colossal creatures stalk the jungle, and the very earth seems to breathe with malevolent intent. As the men struggle to survive, they uncover the island’s dark secret—a force that warps reality and feeds on their deepest fears. With every step, they edge closer to madness, realizing that the true horror lies not in the island’s monstrous inhabitants, but in the sinister intelligence that governs them.
