When a Californian teenager is sent to the remote wilds of New Zealand to stay with his eccentric grandfather, he stumbles upon a chilling family secret: Grandpa is a vampire. But this is no bloodthirsty monster—he’s a gentle, guilt-ridden creature struggling to resist his primal urges. As Lonny navigates the eerie landscapes and the shadows that cling to his grandfather’s homestead, he must confront a sinister presence that threatens to expose their hidden world. A slow-burning, atmospheric tale of loyalty, darkness, and the ties that bind, Moonrise blurs the line between monster and man.
