In Dario Argento’s stunning debut, an American writer’s idyllic Roman holiday shatters when he witnesses a brutal attack in a shadow-filled art gallery. Trapped in a nightmare of glass, shadows, and a killer’s unblinking gaze, he becomes the next target as he unravels the city’s dark secrets. A masterclass in tension, this giallo classic drips with eerie atmosphere, stylized violence, and a haunting score that will linger long after the credits roll.

User Reviews
GialloGuru – 8/10
“Argento's first is a visual feast. The black gloves, the razor-edge suspense, and that killer's POV shots got under my skin. A must for any horror fan.”
SlasherSam – 6/10
“Some great set pieces and a killer twist, but the pacing dragged in the middle. Still, you can see why Argento became a legend.”
NeroNight – 7/10
“The atmosphere is pure dread, and the bird motif is creepy as hell. The acting's a bit dated, but the tension never lets up.”
BloodyBella – 8/10
“I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The glass shards, the rainy streets, the killer's eyes – it's all so beautifully sinister.”
