In the isolated backwoods of Montauk, a young newlywed couple believes they’ve found their perfect sanctuary in a quaint two-story house. But their dream home becomes a nightmare when two deranged teenagers invade, armed with a stolen 1988 VHS camcorder that captures every terrifying moment. Told entirely through the distorted, grainy lens of that vintage device, Jan:1988 immerses you in a raw, claustrophobic experience of psychological terror. As the intruders play sadistic games with their captives, the line between reality and recorded horror blurs, revealing a chilling obsession that transcends the invasion itself. This found-footage thriller will make you question what’s real when the only eyes are those behind the lens.
