When Alma discovers a dusty VHS tape in her late father’s belongings, she uncovers a chilling secret: her parents were using the ancient Indonesian ritual of Jailangkung to speak with the dead. Driven by grief and an unshakable need to connect with her mother’s spirit, she painstakingly reconstructs the mysterious doll and prepares to summon the other side. But as she sits in the candlelit room, her hands trembling over the ritual’s symbols, she realizes too late that some doors should never be reopened. The air grows cold, shadows stretch, and a voice that isn’t her mother’s answers back. Now, Alma must confront the terrifying consequences of disturbing what was meant to stay buried.
