When a routine babysitting job spirals into nightmare, a teenage sitter watches her young charge vanish into a crowd of eerily cheerful playground kids. Stranded in a sunlit but wrong-feeling suburb, she starts to notice the children’s too-wide smiles and synchronized games—a hive mind hiding something ancient and hungry. As the line between playful innocence and predatory menace dissolves, every kindly face could be a trap. With reality curdling around her, she must outthink a collective of sinister children to find the missing boy before the swarm claims them both.
