In this chilling Spanish horror classic from 1979, the Devil himself, weary of his eternal damnation, decides to walk the Earth in human form, following in the footsteps of Christ. As he wanders through a world of sin and decay, he takes perverse pleasure in unleashing chaos and testing the souls of the faithful. Directed by and starring the legendary Paul Naschy, this atmospheric film blends religious dread with gritty, old-school terror, as the Prince of Darkness indulges in his most twisted games. A slow-burning nightmare that will stay with you long after the credits roll, El caminante is a must-see for fans of vintage Euro-horror.

GoreHound77 – 7/10
“I'm a sucker for 70s Euro-horror, and Naschy delivers. The atmosphere is thick with dread, and his performance as the Devil is genuinely unsettling. It's not perfect, but it's a wild ride.”
DarkAngel – 6/10
“The concept is great, and there are some genuinely creepy moments. But it drags in places and feels a bit dated. Still, worth a watch for Naschy fans.”
HorrorNerd99 – 5/10
“I wanted to love it, but the pacing killed it for me. The devil's wanderings are interesting, but the script could have been tighter. A few good scares, but overall letdown.”
ScreamQueen – 8/10
“For me, this is underrated. Naschy is charismatic and terrifying as Satan. The religious themes and the final act are haunting. A gem if you appreciate classic horror.”
