Deep within the murky, forgotten reaches of the Dismal Swamp, three college couples seek a weekend escape from their mundane lives, only to stumble into a nightmare beyond comprehension. As the dense fog rolls in and the trees close in around them, they realize they are not alone. An ancient, malevolent force awakens from the stagnant waters, its presence seeping into their minds and turning friends against each other. With no way out and the swamp itself seeming to conspire against them, they must uncover the dark history of this cursed land before it claims them all. But the deeper they dig, the clearer it becomes that the true horror lies not in the shadows, but in the sins they carry within.
