Deathwatch

Year R 1h 34m
5.9/10

In the rain-soaked, mud-choked hell of World War I, a squad of nine British soldiers becomes separated from their unit and stumbles into a labyrinth of abandoned German trenches. What begins as a desperate quest for shelter soon curdles into a waking nightmare as the men realize they are not alone. Something ancient and malevolent lurks in the tunnels, feeding on their fear and turning them against each other. As paranoia spreads like a contagion and the body count rises, the soldiers must confront the horrifying truth: the greatest threat may not be the enemy above, but the darkness within. A claustrophobic descent into madness, Deathwatch is a grim and unsettling tale of war’s supernatural toll.

TrenchRat7/10

“The atmosphere is suffocating – you can almost smell the mud and decay. The cast is solid, especially Jamie Bell, and the creeping dread really got under my skin. It's a slow burn, but if you're into psychological horror, this one's a treat.”

GhostlyGrin5/10

“I wanted to love this, but it felt a bit too bleak and confusing at times. The horror elements are more about mood than jump scares, which I appreciate, but the story loses its way in the second half. Still, the cinematography is stunning.”

WarriorOfFright6/10

“A unique blend of war and horror that doesn't quite hit the mark, but it's memorable. The sense of isolation is fantastic, and the supernatural angle is intriguing. Just wish the ending had more payoff – it left me feeling a bit empty.”

ScreamQueen994/10

“I found it more depressing than scary. The characters are hard to connect with, and the horror is too subtle for my taste. It had potential, but it dragged in places and the scares fell flat. Not my cup of tea.”
