In Croaker, Florian Sirko returns to his hometown only to find it haunted by a centuries-old curse. A vicious attack by Haidamark Cossacks in 1648 spawned the Vodnik, a mythological creature that now feeds on the souls of the townspeople, and Florian discovers he is the latest target. As he reconnects with Macy Patterson, his one-time love, the line between reality and folklore blurs, and they must confront a terrifying truth that threatens to consume everyone they hold dear. With an unsettling atmosphere and a creeping sense of dread, the film explores the power of belief and the price of ancient sins.

User Reviews
VodnikHunter – 8/10
“Creepy atmosphere that really got under my skin. The Vodnik is genuinely unsettling, and the folklore angle was a fresh take. The slow burn might not be for everyone, but I was hooked from the first scene.”
ScreamingQueen – 6/10
“I appreciated the attempt at a mythological horror, but the pacing dragged in the middle. The lead actors did their best, but the scares were more psychological than jumpy. If you're patient, it's worth a watch.”
MidnightFlicker – 7/10
“The film's strength is its eerie mood and stunning visuals. It felt like a modern gothic tale. The relationship drama was a bit distracting, but the horror elements definitely delivered. I'd recommend it to fans of slow-burn horror.”
GoreGuzzler – 5/10
“Not gory enough for my taste, and the creature reveal wasn't as terrifying as I hoped. I wanted more direct scares, but it relied too much on suggestion. It's an atmospheric watch, but it left me wanting more.”
