Maya, a privileged young woman desperate to escape her parents’ constant fighting, trades her comfortable life for the gritty, decaying underbelly of Manhattan’s Lower East Side when she moves into a condemned building with her boyfriend. But this squalid squat is more than just a haven for addicts and misfits—it’s a breeding ground for something far more sinister. As the tenants’ filth and desperation fester, a toxic virus emerges from the building’s rotting core, turning their makeshift home into a nightmare of contagion and paranoia. Trapped inside with neighbors who are barely human, Maya must fight not only for her survival but also for her sanity in a place where the walls themselves seem to close in. Condemned is a claustrophobic, gut-wrenching descent into urban decay, where the real horror isn’t just the disease—it’s what it does to the human soul.
