In 1990, director Seung-ho Ahn crafts a chilling tale of otherworldly love and vengeful spirits. A thousand-year-old gumiho, on the brink of humanity, dares to defy a demon king’s curse to wed a mortal painter, Sang-hyo. But their fragile happiness shatters when Sang-hyo’s spurned ex-lover, Yeon-a, takes her own life, returning as a malevolent specter consumed by jealousy. As Yeon-a’s ghostly presence tightens its grip, the couple’s passion becomes a desperate battle against supernatural forces that will stop at nothing to exact revenge. A haunting blend of romance and terror, this classic Korean horror explores the price of forbidden desire and the eternal hunger of the vengeful dead.
