Thirty years after the tragic death of his four-year-old sister, a man tormented by guilt and unresolved grief stumbles upon an ancient ritual that promises to bring her back. But the woman who returns is not the innocent child he remembers; she is a grown adult with a terrifying, otherworldly presence. As he reconnects with the sister he lost, he begins to realize that some doors are best left closed, and that the dead may not want to be resurrected. Ayla is a creeping descent into psychological horror, where family bonds become a nightmare and the past refuses to stay buried.
