In a world ravaged by a monstrous new strain, the dead rise not as mindless zombies but as puppets of a sinister viral intelligence spread by mosquitoes. A ragtag band of survivors, believing they’ve found a temporary sanctuary, lets down their guard for a moment of human connection—only to realize their refuge is a hunting ground. As the infected close in and paranoia festers, every whispered secret and stolen embrace becomes a countdown to a horrifying truth. Awakening is a slow-burn descent into dread, where the greatest threat isn’t the enemy outside but the fragile trust within.
